Battery and terminals
Voltage at rest and under starting load, the state of the terminals and earth straps. The most common cause and the quickest to check.
I come to wherever the car is — your home, your workplace, a supermarket car park. I check the battery, starter, fuel supply, spark and sensors before anyone orders a tow truck. If it can be fixed on the spot, I fix it. If it can't, I say so plainly and you don't pay for parts you don't need.
A tow truck and a workshop mean cost, queues and a lost day.
When a car won't start the reflex is the same: tow truck and workshop. Towing costs money — roughly from a few to over ten zloty per kilometre one way, going by 2026 price lists — and then there is the workshop queue and a day without the car.
Yet the most common causes are simple and can be checked in a car park: a flat or worn battery, dirty terminals, the starter, a fuse or relay of the fuel pump, worn spark plugs or a coil, the crankshaft sensor. For many of them a multimeter, a scanner and an hour of work are enough.
That is why I arrive with diagnostics, not a tow truck. I measure instead of guessing, and I never replace parts blindly.
From the simplest to the rarest — so I reach the cause quickly instead of replacing everything one by one.

Whether the car charges the battery once running. Weak charging ruins a new battery within weeks.
Current draw, solenoid operation, cables and connections. I check before anyone suggests replacing it.
Pump, relay, fuse and pressure. No characteristic hum when the ignition goes on is the first clue.
Coils, spark plugs, leads. A frequent suspect when the engine cranks for a long time without starting.
Fault codes, live data, crankshaft and position sensors. The scanner points to a circuit; the measurement decides.
On site I repair what can be done without a ramp or stripping the engine: fuel supply, battery, charging, starting, wiring, fuses, sensors. If the cause is engine mechanics or something that needs a workshop, I will say so straight away — before the repair, not after.
I work mostly with petrol cars. With a diesel, call me and describe the symptoms — I will tell you whether I can help on site.
The price is simple: call-out plus work. I quote the total by phone before I set off.
| Item | Price | Notes |
|---|---|---|
| Call-out | 150 zł | Within 50 km of Grodzisk Mazowiecki |
| Fault finding and repair | 150 zł per started hour | When a service has no fixed price |
| Computer diagnostics | from 80 zł | Reading fault codes and control-unit data |
| Weekend work | +20% | Saturday and Sunday |
| Urgent night call-out | price by phone | Agreed before I set off |
Parts are not included in the labour price. I quote before I set off — never after the fact.
A simple routine and no surprises on the bill.
You describe the symptoms: whether the starter turns, what the warning lights say, when it began and where the car is. I tell you straight away whether it is worth me coming, and quote the price.
I come to the agreed place — home, work, a car park. Weekends too; at night once the price is agreed.
Battery, charging, starting, fuel supply, spark, fault codes and control-unit data. I measure instead of guessing.
If it can be fixed on site, I fix it. If not, I tell you plainly what the cause is and what comes next, before you incur any cost.
Question not here? Call me — I will answer straight away.
A fault rarely has just one face.
Tell me where it is and what it does when you turn the key — we will sort the rest by phone.
Real repairs, not a brochure
I film what I actually do — including the jobs that did not go my way.
